The Life and Vision of Dr. Edward Bach
Born in 1886 in Moseley, near Birmingham, Edward Bach was a man with a deep sensitivity and a natural love for the countryside.
From a young age, he felt a strong desire to find a simple, pure way to help people heal.
He pursued his passion by studying medicine at University College Hospital in London, where he graduated as a physician.
Later, he qualified in Public Health and became a successful bacteriologist and pathologist.
During his years working in busy London hospitals, Dr. Bach made an important observation that changed his entire approach to healthcare: he noticed that patients with the same physical illness often had very different personality traits and emotional responses.
He realized that treating the physical body alone was not enough.
To achieve true, lasting healing, the mind and the soul had to be cared for as well.
Driven by this realization, he left his lucrative London practice in 1930 and moved to the countryside of Wales and Oxfordshire.
He wanted to look for a completely natural healing system hidden in the wild.
Walking through the fields and woods, he studied the plants and developed a profound understanding of nature's vibrational power.
It was during these years of quiet observation that he discovered the 38 remedies.
He noticed that certain wild flowers had the power to gently dissolve negative emotional states like fear, uncertainty, or loneliness, replacing them with their positive qualities of courage, faith, and peace.
Dr. Bach spent the final years of his life at Mount Vernon, a small cottage in Oxfordshire, where he completed his work and taught people how to use this simple, gentle method.
He passed away in 1936, leaving behind a complete and perfect system designed to help human beings find their way back to inner harmony.
